Super Safe Spelunking Music and Sound

Horizontal and Vertical music I made for the game Super Safe Spelunking

Music Showcase

I made both horizontal and vertical adaptive music for the game Super Safe Spelunking. The horizontal music consisted of loops I had created for the different rooms in the game.



The vertical music consisted of unique tracks I created for each enemy, which would play when the player approached that enemy. These tracks would add onto the gameplay music to create a unique auditory experience for every playthrough.


Sound Design

I created original music for the project. There is music for every room (general combat, elite combat, warehouse, base camp, neverending shift base camp), and it is themed to each level (mine, lava, mushroom, crystals). Each boss has its own unique theme as well, to ensure they are distinct. All the music can be listened to here.


As the amount of sound in the game increased due to voicelines from my teammates, I wrote a sound style guide to ensure recordings were more consistent.


This included a recording guide:

A table of instructions I wrote for team members to ensure the recording and implementation of sound in the project
